Matthew P. Band focuses his practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Taxation, Trust & Probate Administration, and Business Succession Planning. Matt is a certified specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law.

Matt is dedicated to guiding clients through a process they initially anticipate might be difficult and complicated, and helping them achieve clarity, confidence, and peace of mind through a well-defined estate plan.  With an L.L.M. in Taxation, Matt understands the myriad tax considerations that might apply to specific client situations, whether individuals, families or family-owned businesses. Matt also focuses on the top priorities shared by many clients: identifying smart solutions for the ultimate distribution of their assets, and locating the appropriate individual(s) to carry out their wishes.

Throughout the process, Matt strives to simplify his clients’ experience while delivering solutions that reflect his proficiency, expertise, and dedication to helping others.

Outside of the office, Matt spends his time with his family being involved in his local church, attending Padres games, and enjoying the many outdoor activities around San Diego.
